Long time ago, before the times of high resolution camera phones and smart phones, I was down in #Kuching for work. My best gal @beatgoh told me to wake up early the next morning, coz she's bringing me to #makan. She brought me to a pasar off the city, and introduced me to #kueychap. Ever since then, I have fallen in love with it. Back to KL, every time I get to eat kueychap again, I shed a silent tear because it always fall short of my first encounter with it. 12 or 13 years later, back again in Kuching, this time for a special occasion, the big day for the same gal that introduced me to the elusive kueychap. I finally embarked again on my hunt, will this be my #Whitewhale? Then I found it, just 6 minutes from the hotel... The broth with deep fried shallots, the fatty pork with all the right spare parts and the soft silken noodles. I thought I was in pork heaven. ;) But alas, my stay is short and Kuching has too much to offer. I will need to resist and persevere. #rvkch2016 #markwedsbeat (at Woon Lam Cafe 1999 云南园)
