Dilemma

House of hardstyle

Deze week ga ik het dilemma tussen house of hardstyle bespreken.

Hardstyle is een elektronisch muziekgenre dat overeenkomsten vertoont met hardcore en hardtrance. Het gemiddelde tempo ligt rond de 150 bpm. Het geluid is karakteristiek voor de stijl en kan omschreven worden als harde beats gecombineerd met erg aanwezige melodielijnen. Vaak toegepaste instrumenten zijn: draaitafels, samplers, drumcomputer en synthesizers.

Mark With a K is een bekende hardstyleartiest.

House is een stroming in de muziek die sinds het einde van de jaren tachtig samen met techno het dominante genre in de elektronische dansmuziek is. Het is een directe afstammeling van disco en kenmerkt zich door het gebruik van beats met de vierkwartsmaat en opzwepende baslijnen. Housemuziek wordt gemaakt op elektronische apparaten zoals synthesizers, keyboards, drumcomputers en/of samplers.

Bij dit dilemma kies ik voor hardstyle hoewel het een heel hevig genre is. Ik vind dat er bij hardstyle meer interactie is en dat het gevarieerder is dan house. House vind ik eerder eentonig.
