What is it about the undead, vampires and their ilk, that has fascinated humankind for millennia? What is it that countless authors want to dabble in the myth of these beings who are not real? What is it that draws readers, such as myself, back to these dark denizens of the night over and over again? In turn I've loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and then these, the vampires of the Black Dagger Brotherhood (who I was first introduced to ten years ago). Why? I do not know. Perhaps it's the fact that the stories are so real...so relatable, even with the element of fantasy. Their stories speak to me...because it's more another the humanity of the monster than it is the monster... Too deep? Perhaps. Or maybe I just live the characters. Who knows. But, anyway. I've finally started this book and I'm 18 chapters in already. My favourite vampires. : : : : : : : : #mondaymusings #marlysinstaweek #vampires #bdb #blackdaggerbrotherhood #rhage #jrward #marlyreads
