how about some new music? he asked as if you had any choice in the matter. anyway, some pretty decent offerings this week, so let's get into it, shall we
coming back from an 8 year hiatus, it's the weird and wonderful Marmozets! If you asked me to name one band from the 2010's that was the closest to blowing up instead of quietly disappearing, Marmozets would have been on that shortlist. But now they're back with new songs, and while 'Cut Back' still doesn't fully realize their potential, it's definitely better than anything they produced before hiatus.
I'm even more excited for the final two offerings on this short list, because these are the true indies, songs with fewer than thousand YT views, the kind of stuff I love to promote even if I have like zero reach. XD What do we even know about PUNCHBAG? Only that they're a sibling duo, making deeply enticing dark pop. That's all I know, and for now it's enough because music speaks for itself.
my favorite song of the week, but it's the same story as with PUNCHBAG. Who are Georgian? Well, apparently they're a Manchester based band that mixes shoegaze with 60's pop beats. Cool. Consider my interested pickled!
