So after seeing your post, I went out last night and bought "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes," and ended up reading it in one sitting.Wow. Wowee. I was looking for a fun, morbid ladybook, and what I got instead was a fun, profound, morbid, really smart ladybook. Thank you for recommending it! I'm off to reread "The Loved One" now, which I highly recommend to you as a companion piece.

She honestly, truly thought she was being nice, that's the scary part.
Like, I assume she's very confident in her physical self at least because that is the statement of a girl who never had to really examine what it would feel like to be intimate with someone who had to, like, GET OVER what you look like in order to stomach the idea of touching you :/

I think that might be a tortoiseshell trait. I got one a few months ago and she like never ever leaves my side. She's a big fan of kisses and cuddles, too :)

our other cat is also a tortoiseshell and she loves cuddles too! (she's older though, so she also needs her away-from-humans time)
