Axel crossed the threshold of St. Peters, hands in the pockets of his ripped black jeans and head held high. He paused for a moment, giving his brown eyes time to adjust to the darkness and scan the room. There were a few familiar faces amongst the small crowd, it was still early and he was looking forward to getting some food. A face he hadn’t seen in awhile sat at the bar and he couldn’t help the urge to take a seat right next to the man. It wasn’t often he got a chance to have a drink or eat a meal next to the Red Ridge police captain.
“Ain’t you just a sight for sore eyes. Get lost on your way to the donut shop, cap?” He smirked looking over at the man and settled himself on the stool next to him. A lick of his lips, he nodded to the bartender. “Brandy straight up and I need a menu.” He said as they approached. As soon as they moved away, Axel was turned with his attention back on Marr. There was a playful, amused expression on his normally neutral face. Any other night, he wouldn’t be caught side by side with law enforcement unless he was diffusing a situation or getting arrested. It wasn’t often he got the opportunity, hell the only cops he saw out and about were usually dirty. He knew that wasn’t Marr, though, as much as they all wished he was. “You catch that killer yet, champ?” The man asked, as if he was afraid he was in some sort of danger from the mysterious deviant. “Makin’ it real hard to go out walkin’ at night and shit.”
