station 11's technically a post-apocalyptic, but it's not really about the apocalypse, it's more about people. it has story lines ranging from 20 years pre apocalypse to 20 years post, all about various characters that happen to intertwine over time. it's mesmerizing. and a lot of the post-apocalypse line follows a traveling symphony that performs shakespeare for various settlements, which is an idea i'm very fond of. it's a quick and wonderful read aaah i loved it

Bizarre I can do. Bizarre, I do quite often. The plot holes, though? Matched with poor acting (save John Hurt, of course, because he is always fantastic) and annoying cinematography and what in the hell was the art direction even doing? It just had so much potential and it really wasted it on all fronts. From the screenplay to the editing.

I didn’t like it at all. I felt like I was watching a dumb B movie on Space Channel on a weekend, except I’ve seen B movies that were way better than Snowpiercer.
