I didn’t see Sylvia at first watch and now I’m seeing more pics of her and I absolutely ADORE her costume design. It’s like a darker version of Marianne’s outfit in a way. Not to mention the glitter and the detailing like damn! Who is this mysterious woman… and why is her swag so different…

Everyone is saying that Marianne is the Grand Immortal Dictator’s daughter and I’m just like????? On what basis?????? More than likely she, as a vision impaired girl, was trouble to keep in a home in a poor and starving country (eating contaminated food, “starved to death in a land of plenty,” food being given out to game show winners instead of money, etc). Since she couldn’t see, she couldn’t work, so she couldn’t make money and would be an expense to house and feed and clothe. So the father had to surrender her, but instead of sending her to an orphanage where she would probably starve, he recognized her talents to sing and sent her to be trained by the Parade, one of the only places that’s “safe” due to the dictator’s fondness from them.
