Inside, he writes,
My dearest Celeste,
I am forever grateful to have you, to hold you. You have taught me to love. To laugh. To live. I wish I could repay you for all the joy you bring me. I look forward to the future now that you are by my side.
Forever yours,
Ulquiorra
Make of it, just as beautiful as the creator ; such attention to detail, not a single thing out of place. He was meticulous, that way. Claws, are as gentle as she can make them so, not wanting anything ruined with crass carelessness.
So carefully, so slowly, does she try to read each word, some coming easier than others. How highly, he thought of her, his beloved. Even with the simplicity of a card, she can feel her eyes water, catching herself before she allows them to spill ; joy, for once, and not sorrow.
If there was no one left, in this world, to look upon her, to see her, he would certainly remain. Smile is unrestrained, card closing as she keeps it tight to her chest. Just for a moment.
While, for once, she had no physical gift - nothing to lavish onto him ... she hoped her presence, would be enough. So gently, does she set it at nest-side table, quickly exiting, in search of him.
