One of the most interesting aspects of traditional photography is the process. For professionals and serious hobbyists, note-taking about photo shoots was big part of that process. Photographers recorded location, exposures, and general information about a scene or a roll of film. Sometimes we find insight to the experience of taking the shot. Now with digital cameras much of this information is automated as embedded metadata in the digital file, losing some of its nostalgic qualities.
