7 and/or 14, Lemel and Tevane for oc ask game~
Thanks for the ask!
7. What triggers nostalgia for them, most often? Do they enjoy that feeling?
Community gatherings/parties tend to remind Lemel of their family parties back home. How much they repress the accompanying wistfulness depends on where they're at in their journey. While still under the assumption of an indefinite isolation, they pretty much ignored that feeling and tried to distract themself from it but after joining up with Tevane, they let themself experience the nostalgia more freely.
Tevane doesn't typically feel a lot of nostalgia because he's not really fond of that much of his childhood, but he has some keepsakes from good memories and looking through those tends to trigger it. Nostalgia is a complicated feeling for him because he knows the nice feelings associated with those memories were largely a fluke from an anomalously good time before the usual toxic family bullshit came back into play.
14. What animal do they fear most?
Haha this was a tough one! There's so many possibilities.
I can't really see Lemel being terrified by a specific animal but I'll just make the executive decision and say flamingos weird them out a bit. They're so weird. Why are they shaped like that. And always so many of them. Suspicious. They look like they're up to something. And then cockroaches. Because they got jumpscared by the damn things too many times and one crawled up their pant leg while they were playing games once.
Tevane found out about how dangerous moose are and is really scared of accidentally encountering one. On a sillier level, raccoons because they're bigger than he expected from pictures, they get into everything, and they have weird little people hands.
*I'm very obviously basing these off a North American bias of Animals You Learn About because I have no actual idea what creatures they would encounter on Fantasy Earth
If you think you'd like drawing him, I suppose I can offer up ol' RM here
He's a snarky jerk, but does tend to collect other AU MJs as bros. Any oc to mess with would be fine; and chances are great some sort of Shenanigan would occur
(I'm totally fine if he doesn't strike your fancy; only do it if you really need the prompt uwu)
(Also I hope this was an appropriate way to ask)
Okay he hansome so he gets to be drawn alone
I'm predictable; wip ask: Moon?
@marrow-bone Here it is I'm sorry it took so long. This is from the Ahit prince fic. I don't remember if you follow me for ahit content but that word does not show up in my Owl house works anyway so.
"Before him was a view of the moon and stars that looked so much closer now. The view did not stop when he looked down, finding instead of solid ground the sight of a blue and green planet. Was that the Earth itself? More stars and other celestial bodies than he had ever seen before or could ever hope to count, along with a fine, iridescent mist streaked the vast, horizonless sky, adding to the otherworldly beauty of it all. The same sky he had thought he'd never see again was presenting itself to him in a way he never thought possible, almost like its own way to make up for lost time."
There are the Scarekids- Are there any other related creatures? Like those deer made of logs sold at Christmas or the fake owls that scare away birds.
ooh that’s a good question... i kinda just thought of them as lil’ pinocchio’s, having been made by some craftsperson and brought to life by weird magic, so idk about them having store-bought counterparts.
they’re based on corn-husk dolls and those little faceless amish dolls, so if they had any counterparts i’d imagine that they would be things like hand-carved rocking horses and raggedy teddy bears.
You're doing a wc dnd?? Sweet! I thought for sure there would be someone else out there,, but I don't know everybody :D so cool!
aghj yEAH!! ive been planning it for a long time now we just havent started yet!
🎵 I can't not ask about Moonjumper
Burn the ballroom’s Whisper is def an Mj song
Character ask: Moonjumper!
1: Sexuality headcanon
Aroace. Once they find their identity, they become that post that's like "I love enby aroaces. Yall really said I don't want to have anything to do with that actually"
2: otp
Still none, I am sorry I've had maybe 3 otps in my whole entire lifespan, I'm picky about romance
3: brotp
Snatcher
4: notp
Nothing gross etc
5: first headcanon that pops into my head
Part of the reason they seem to have a better handle on their general emotions than Snatcher is because they went out and talked to people! They were lonely when they first escaped the basement and once Snatcher rebuffed them, they sought out other connections. They felt guilty that they had ended up possessing his body (despite it not being their specific intention) so they worked really hard to construct a sense of self that was separate from the Prince. To limited success.
6: one way in which I relate to this character
Once again, is it really relating to a character if I assign them a headcanon trait and then relate to what I assigned them? Anyway, practical with their emotional problems/anxieties and how they handle them.
7: thing that gives me secondhand embarrassment about this character
Nothin
8: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?
Cinnamon roll, but one day, perhaps, I'll explore the problematic fav angle. Villainous Moonjumper could be so spicy
