A few years ago, we had the coldest weather I'd ever seen. For about 3 weeks, from just before Christmas to about January 10th, the temperature never got out of the single digits. Waking up those mornings was a bit painful. On this particular morning, @jmacdonald.photo and I headed up to Marshall Point, hoping to get some sea smoke around the lighthouse. Unfortunately, the sea smoke stayed a bit further offshore, but the rocks around the lighthouse were glazed with ice, and snow covered the grassy areas around the Keeper's house. It was beautiful. But did I mention the temperature was -4ºF? Or that the windchill was -14ºF? One of my lenses frosted over, so I had to switch to a different lens, but I managed to capture several images from that frigid morning that still rank as favorites. I am quite happy it's a bit warmer right now though! Heads up: My "Goodbye 2020 Sale" ends tomorrow! Last chance to save 25% on all prints on my website.
