Mars Enters Pisces

As the lunar eclipse looms, and with Mercury retrograde in full swing, Mars enters Pisces. This is a challenging placement for the action planet, whose attributes are best expressed in signs that prize conquest over creativity. That’s not to say that we can’t be goal-oriented during this transit, only that we should expect the shape of our goals to change often, which can make realizing them a challenge.
Pisces is a sign of empathy and imagination. However, with such heavy Piscean traffic, plus eclipse season in the works, getting where we think we want to go can pose an issue now. It’s more likely that you have a vague idea of the kind of life or lifestyle that you’re after, and you’re more willing to take the roundabout way to get there. Getting lost is a direct precursor to getting found, and keeping that in mind can offset frustration.
And yet, there’s only so long one can give their energy to efforts that fail to deliver, and mixed results can throw a wet blanket on passion projects for the next five weeks, potentially causing us to throw in the towel prematurely. We could be getting every intuitive signal to pursue a calling or start a new venture. And we really BELIEVE in our convictions now, many of which are admirable but impractical. These gut hits aren’t wrong. If you are receiving cosmic cues, trust them. Just be aware of your limited bandwidth and use optimism as a tool for overcoming disappointments, not as an opiate to escape reality. As far as new endeavors go, you have little to lose by giving them a try! However, try to be honest with yourself about expectations from the jump, because no amount of wishful thinking will protect you from the inevitable: that your present projection will only have a passing resemblance to your final outcome.
