TIMELINE - MARS GAFFNEY
Below is an in-depth timeline of Mars Gaffney's life from birth (February 28, 1973) until now (beginning of August 2023).

BORN: February 28, 1973
Born in London, England to Agyei and Mariam Gbedema - immigrants from Ghana. Agyei and Mariam changed their last name to 'Gaffney' before Mars was born in an effort to have more opportunities in England. Mars is the 2nd child- Older brother Silas was born in 1966.
May 1979 - Younger sister Ashana Gaffney is born.
February 1981 - Youngest brother Benji Gaffney is born.
Gaffney family moves a few times in London because of Agyei's job in sales.
October 1985 - After Silas attends university for 1 year, he drops out due to poor grades (and poor choices). Parents are incredibly disappointed.
1986 - At 13, Mars is enrolled into special study groups to get into advanced placement classes- without his knowledge. He is forced to attend.
April 1991 - At 18, Mars gets into all colleges he applies to. He decides on University of West London, studying Architectural Design with a minor in Business.
January 1993 - Accepted into a specialized research group for 'Architecture, Construction, and Urban Study' as one of the very few undergrads.
July 1994 - After graduating, Mars is pestered by family to continue his education. He applies to grad programs.
April 1995 - With various glowing letters of recommendation, Mars gets into Brown University. He leaves London for the first time to attend.
1996 - His time at Brown is short-lived, as he's recruited for specialized projects in NYC. Mars moves there, a fish out of water, and sees the riots and beginnings of the Brotherhood.
Late 1996 - Over a few drinks, Mars has a conversation with Christian. He decides to begin working with him, seeing if any of his own work can be of use.
1997 - Mars is given a more official role in an architecture firm in Manhattan. Moving there from Queens, he and Christian have an understanding that he will be keeping an eye on things in this area.
January 1st, 2000 - Mars kisses a male coworker at a New Years party.
March 2002 - Mars is given his official role as a regional manager of West Manhattan, after coming up with a way to smuggle in drugs through construction materials.
May 2002 - Shortly after taking on this major role, Mars is forced to punish his first Brotherhood member for a serious misstep in shipping materials. This fucks with his head a bit.
2005 - Drug trafficking is stopped and Mars takes on the huge task of working with his multiple connections to begin changing their inventory and ending other working relationships on good terms. His architecture work suffers.
2006 - Mars kills for the first time, murdering another Brotherhood member after multiple infractions.
2008 - His first major project designed by him is completed in Manhattan. His cohorts encourage him to open his own firm.
2010 - Mars gets shot while taking care of a hit that wasn't completed by his team. Ends up fine, now has a shoulder scar.
Early 2012 - Signs the paperwork for his own firm, moving to a beautiful office deeper in West Manhattan and beginning to take clients.
December 2012 - At a Christmas party, Mars meets Lara Culford, an intelligent and outgoing friend of a friend.
February 2013 - Lara and Mars officially start dating.
August 2016 - Mars and Lara's wedding.
2018 - With Brotherhood leader & friend Christian murdered by police, Mars is incensed. He begins to put himself fully into his Brotherhood work. He and Lara become farther apart.
2019 - Lara is diagnosed with breast cancer. Mars realizes he has to step up and take care of her.
2020 - Another building designed by Mars is complete in Manhattan. A huge opening party is held. Mars has to leave early because Lara isn't feeling well.
Late 2020 - Lara passes away after a long residence in the hospital.
2021 on - Mars takes on far more responsibility within the Brotherhood. He doesn't care about getting his hands dirty- he takes the reins on more matters, and puts himself fully into his architecture and Brotherhood work. He is more of a leader now than he ever was.
