#mafinedit#mafin#marta x fina#marta de la reina#fina valero#my edits#one of the edits that have been sitting in my drafts since October 25 - when I still thought Marta would acually experience relevant growth#but since I don't have the drive to put any work in my edits - I might as well post this one as it is#even with Fina's return - this show has ceased to inspire anything in me but apathy#and I doubt that will change anytime soon#Marta is too much of a narrative failure for me to ever look at her the same way again#as far as I'm concerned she's on the same level as her disgusting new lover - tell me who you associate with and I'll tell you who you are#in other words ... MEH#Fina has taken the fall far too many times - has sacrificed herself for Marta time and again - and as such - deserves better#Marta does not#love is actions - not just flowery words#and visual appeal alone has never made a character compelling to me - Marta may be a striking woman but that's never enough#actions#consistency#and narrative integrity - that's what really matters#and this is where Marta falls entirely short - as much as others hide behind her looks and applaud#the way Marta has downgraded over these past few months—especially in terms of partner—is inexcusable#oh well - she’ll be choking on her poor choices soon enough#the time for humble pie is finally incoming#and Marta's suffering for her abysmal passivity - for always choosing the easy way out? - and for presenting no credibility as a partner?#well ... I hope she enjoys the bed she's made and sleeping in it ... because there comes a time when you cease being a victim#there comes a time when the well of excuses has run dry ... and Marta has long since crossed that line#Pelayo may have started digging the grave#but Marta has long since taken over - digging so thoroughly she's reached the center of the earth#she never moved a finger to look for Fina - not one
