Princess Marie-Astrid of Liechtenstein || Marta Ferri
Beatrice Borromeo’s pink ensemble → Worn at the wedding of Louis Ducruet and Marie Chevallier, 26th July 2019
Where? The Monegasque royals are incredibly close knit and so it was no surprise to see Beatrice Borromeo arrive with her sister in law Tatiana Santo Domingo for the civil wedding of her husband’s cousin Louis and his long time girlfriend Marie. The civil wedding took place at Monaco Town Hall and was followed by a religious ceremony the next day at Monaco Cathedral.
What she wore: Beatrice looked the picture of summer wedding elegance. She paired a pale pink top with a pleated skirt she has worn previously, designed by Dior. She paired the look with this summer’s hottest accessory, a headband- favoured by everyone from Princess Sofia to the Duchess of Cambridge! The headband was designed by Beatrice’s go to designer and sister in law, Marta Ferri.
Copycat: Beatrice’s skirt has a slightly grey tone to it so I’ve opted for a similarly muted skirt from ASOS. The mid length and high waist are flattering, and you can pick it up in a range of sizes for $34 (£28). Beatrice’s top is a lighter shade than the skirt, almost a peachy tone. I’ve picked something comfortable that works with the skirt, a pastel pink cotton top from Rut + Circle selling for a bargain $6 (£4.78). And last but not least, the headband. This pink satin headband from Etsy store Roselingling immediately caught by eye and can be the finishing touch to your look for $31 (£25.54)
What do you know about the tiaras owned by the Borromeo family?
Unfortunately, I don’t know much about the tiaras of the Borromeo family. The Borromeos are a very old Italian noble family whose most famous member is Beatrice, wife of Pierre Casiraghi. She didn’t wear a tiara at her wedding but all of her sisters and her sister-in-law did. Lavinia and Isabella wore the same tiara on their wedding day so this is likely a Borromeo piece. Matilde wore a Fürstenbergtiara from her husband’s family and Marta wore a red coral tiara that was a gift from her mother-in-law,Paola Marzotto. I’ve only ever seen the Borromeo women wear tiaras at their weddings.

I doubt that we will ever see Beatrice Borromeo wear a tiara. During a photo-shoot with Glamour Magazine in 2016, the stylist tried to put a tiara on her and she said “Don’t make me like a little princess, please. It would really depress me.“(x)
