2.What is the Hwarang Code?
The Hwarang O Gye is rooted in the ancient warrior code originally developed by a Buddhist monk known as Won Gwang Beop Sa in the Three Kingdoms Period. This code included loyalty to one's Lord, piety to your parents, trust among friends, courage in battle, and discrimination in killing.
3.Who created Hwarang?
The foundation of the Hwarang were established by then famous Buddhist Monk, Wonkwang Bopsa, who gave them five laws to follow (loyal to the King, loyal to parents, loyal to friends, be fearless in battle, be merciful in killing), which became the Hwarang O-kae that we still abide by today.
