An oldie that still holds up. Alessandro went off to a new home in Italy last week. A great goal scorer and scorer of great goals. Loyal too, a Juve legend few could match. 🦓🇮🇹

Some Oriel Park prints went off around the world last week so I took a few photos.
I am a big fan of how these new stadium drawings are printing. Getting good blacks can be a lot more trouble than you'd think 😅
Took a while to get this to a point I'm happy with, but here we go, The Showgrounds, home of League of Ireland football team Sligo Rovers.
New look for the Ireland WNT covers this campaign. I've not been drawing many portraits lately so it was a nice change of pace. The excellent Heather Payne is on tonight's match programme cover. Match v Australia in Tallaght stadium at 7pm tonight and live on RTÉ
I’ve drawn it a few times, but here’s my latest effort at capturing Oriel park home of league of Ireland club Dundalk fc.
In a change from your regularly scheduled portraits, stadiums, general sport illustration or whatever it is I do. Something a little more out of my comfort zone. Made this for a pal a couple of months ago to gift to his parents on their anniversary. A scene set someplace special 😁
A drawing from a couple of years ago. Remembering Keith Flint on his birthday
I like how the prints came out. Look at those teeny seats I spent far too long drawing. Markets Field, home of Treaty United.
It's Friday, LOI football is back! Just finishing up this drawing of Markets Field where Treaty United FC play out of. I lived in Limerick for the guts of a decade so it's a ground I love visiting.
Never shared the cover from the Azerbaijan match. That time Ireland made a world cup quarter final!
Another home game, another match programme cover. Manifesting some goals for the boys in green tonight 😁🇮🇪
Made up some prints of the two new stadium illustrations. Difficult to get a perfect photo, but the prints themselves are the highest quality I've ever made. Could be considered archival prints. Look how black those blacks are! I think the new gear was worth it. I had mentioned a while ago that I was looking to make some changes regarding the work I'm making and selling, improving the quality of drawings but most importantly the prints themselves. Over the next while I'll be taking some work down from my shop for good. In other cases such as the above stadiums I'll be replacing them or redrawing better versions. It'll mean some price changes but I'm doing my best to keep prices as accessible to as many people as I can. Copies of the above are in the siopa now https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/BarryMastersonArt
I've drawn Dalymount a few times over the years, spent quite some time working on this one. I think this is a lot closer to the quality and feel I've always been looking for.
What do you think?
Going to be working on some new LOI illustrations.
The RSC in Waterford is my first effort, what do you think?
I'm working on upgrading some equipment at the moment which will hopefully lead to considerably higher quality prints going forward.
Long term I want to cut down the amount of prints I have for sale, but make the ones available a far higher quality both in terms of drawing and the prints themselves ⚽
20 years ago today Jason McAteer scored in Lansdowne and we beat the Dutch. We could use a little magic tonight. Just the small matter of Portugal away for the boys in green tonight... Personally I think if we came away from the next 3 matches with 4-6 points I'd be very happy, some players have just gotten much needed moves at club level, a big few months are ahead but tonight will be incredibly difficult. Fans return to the Aviva next week for matches v Azerbaijan and Serbia, I've also worked on the match programme covers, I'll be able to share them soon What else have I to say? The FAI recently announced they're going to be paying the women's and men's International teams the same match fees from now on, an excellent bit of news and will hopefully boost the WNT's chances and development moving forward. That's the craic now, carry on scrolling, thanks
Roy Keane has had enough of your birthday tributes.
Obligatory drawing of Leo Messi post.
I'll believe he's really leaving Barca when I see it 😅
