Essence Type Aesthetic (4/7): Martial
The Mars type can be described as being negative, active, action-oriented, ‘earthy’ and non-personal.
That translates to a bold, straightforward personality that will tend to be direct or blunt and dispense with most pleasantries, to the point of being abrasive or coarse; They’e quick to jump straight into a flight-or-fight response. Furthermore, they tend to be sure of themselves, which can be both a blessing and a curse; Confidence is often an advantage but they can also come off bossy and have little qualms to making people do it their way. Their activitiy tends to be tied to specific goals; When they set one, they work tirelessly and dedicatedly until they have archieved it, and then set another one; If they don’t, they often completely refuse to give up, though generally, their thought tends to be practical and down-to earth.
Socially, they prefer being the center of attention and dislike being part of someone’s entourage, being prone to status envy in such cases; They can be very competitive, and enjoy physical challenges and activities like athletics, or sex. Despite this, they tend to be family people and show fraternity to those they consider their own as long as they show them loyalty.
They can usually be expected to be forthright and honest, and as such might come into conflict with the trickstery Mercury type.
It’s ideal partner is said to be the Venus type.
Suitable careers can be anything from professional athlete, soldier, politician or manager/businessperson. They tend to climb career ladders fast because of their ambition, dedication and assertiveness, but ego or headstrongness may keep them from employing their power for the greater good.
