Got a free trial to some random streaming service just for this film (it cost me one penny >:( so not free free), now I need to remember (figure out how) to cancel it.

See I could never do this drinking throughout the day thing because I inherited the asian flush. I go completely red when I drink. I don't even get drunk it's just a single glass or two and I look like a tomato. I would give myself away immediately.

Love it when they let Mads smoke in movies. Everything about that man, I swear...
I thought there were suspiciously hurt no comfort vibes about that boat scene... sad to see I was right about what happened. (the poor dog though).
ngl I've been loving all the close up shots on Mads throughout this whole movie.
I have been waiting this entire film for the ending Mads dance scene. His background as a dancer and gymnast is one of my favourite fun facts about him. Also; how the hell is he that spry/energetic and doing cartwheels that close to 60??? that is seriously impressive. wow.
So, great movie. I really did enjoy it. At points it was funny and I had a good few chuckles throughout. It was so well done, brilliant actors (ofc, Mads) and I really liked the premise of it. It was a good story which delved into alcoholism and drinking, and did it well. Love the approach it took. Would 100% recommend it. These Danish films just hit different (and not just because they will most likely have Mads in them).
The guy who directed this is the same one who directed Jagten/The Hunt, which I need to watch but I've been putting off because I just know Lucas is going to break my heart. I'll watch it soon I swear.
+ So I looked up a bit about the Danish education system because of this film + I wanted to know about the caps, and I came across this! Mads' graduation from the 80s, featuring him in a graduation hat and smoking. I saw someone say the "eye thing" started young which, fair. He's had like, what, seven roles playing characters with weird eyes? something like that. Anyway, thought I'd share this photo of young Mads here!
