When it came to addictions, a lot of times the person suffering doesn't have an happy ending. It wasn't a 90's sitcom feel good tie it up with a bow situation where the person would get help and suddenly it's all good.
For years on and off, Grey had struggled with his demons; little to no support. He'd ultimately been officially cut off from his family. His parents acted like he didn't exist as they valued their public image more than their son. Drew and Lincoln wouldn't allow him in his current state to be around their children.
It was motivation to finally get cleaned...but while he'd made it mostly through the process, he had no one to fall back on. So...he was desperate. Desperate enough to ask for aid from the last person he'd ever figure he'd end up begging for aid.
A little past midnight and he knocked on Martin's door; trying NOT to sound too much like the police. He could have sent a text but he wasn't even sure if Martin would answer. When the door was opened and his eyes met with Martin's, he felt...actually nervous. From the moment they'd met and had a rather...super complicated relationship. Antagonistic. Sometimes confidante. Sometimes...more.
"Hey...Mart. Uh. Can I come in?" He asked with a half smile.
