The Squad interview with Niall
The [new] things I learned about Niall in his interview with Marty Smiley and Melissa Whitelaw:
Niallās always ābeen againstāĀ using his phone to make notes [when writing]
Niall prefers actually writing things by hand
Niall used to use pencils, but has now graduated to pens. Fountain pens. Well, someoneās doing well.
He got bored with his break pretty quickly.
He specifically said: āSoutheast Asiaā, and Iām proud that he knows what this corner of the world is properly called.
He went through a bit of writerās block. [He mentions two phases of writing: one where itāsĀ crap, and another where it gets good... I took it to mean that there was a period where it was crap for him, lol. Before he wrote This Town, anyway.]
His new album [or at least some of it] is the product of working withĀ āpeopleĀ heās never worked with before.ā
Heās notĀ āon fireā with his writing rn, lol.
He has bouts of laziness. Even in music. : )
Heās a dodgy bastard, refusing to directly answer if there areĀ any plans to relocate his base to LA. Heās honestly good at that.Ā
