heyyyy my holiday was completely wonderful. I got home yesterday and was legitimately really sad to leave, I made Ron drive away from the airport before I started crying lmao.

It was all just so great, Ron made me feel so happy and comfortable and spoiled, and where I had a few bad moments he supported me through them and just completely held me up when I needed. We had such a good time, I met his family, went to his sister’s wedding, met a couple of his friends who were so genuinely friendly and welcoming, and Ron and I got to spend so much time together just doing our own thing and relaxing. We basically finally got our honeymoon period after like 5 months lmao.

So, yeah, the best time. I’m openly telling this guy I love him now and it’s pretty much been decided that eventually I’m going to move down there.

I went back on the ah ao3 tag to riffle through gen fics as I do once a few month, and I took a look before filtering it to hell and... It hurts a lot to see so much content where he is still the mc. I went through the first page and 2/3 of the fics we're about him. And I understand the people who said "we created the persona not him" and some even were about him being a bad guy. But. I don't know. I'm scared of people still supporting him via all this and forgetting why they removed him and why its so important for him to not have a presence online. /Also I just want to add I understand why old content are still there but new ones ? It makes me uneasy.

yeah I totally get you dude. I know there were a number of stories, obviously, that started before everything happened, and the writers have either chosen to discontinue or to continue their works with a big disclaimer about how they don’t support him and are distancing their character from him, but they still have this story they want to finish. I totally understand both sides.

I had NO idea new fics with him were still so prevalent though. That seems insane to me - I’ve honestly been so proud of the fandom as a whole because it’s basically been this unspoken but worldwide agreement that we don’t talk about him or mention him anymore. And in my opinion, stories with him being the bad guy do not make it better, because it’s still bringing recognition and awareness to him, and I 100% believe the best and smartest thing we can do as a community is to continue to just stop talking about him at all. Forget about him, ignore him, pretend he doesn’t exist. It’s the biggest justice we can provide and I feel like it’s necessary, for his family and his victims, as well as the RT community and employees.

This man committed monstrous acts, knowingly, for years. He does not deserve recognition, good or bad, considering recognition is how he started on this path in the first place. He does not deserve to be talked about, not anymore.
