"The Tracks of My Tears" was released on 23 June 1965.

Written by Pete Moore, Smokey Robinson, and Marv Tarplin, the song would go on to sell more than 1 million copies, peak at #16 on the Billboard chart (#2 on the R&B chart) and is now considered to be one of the greatest singles of all time (#5 by Mojo, #50 by Rolling Stone, #127 by the National Endowment of the Arts).
