i have been having a not so great day but i've been also sitting in my room listening to thunderbolts ost and having a good cry
it's on spotify and if you care about thunderbolts* and you care about music you should check it out
some notes: - i havent seen the black widow and dont know what natasha's or yelena's soundtrack sounds like there but in thunderbolts* son lux made it sound very spider-y and i think that's delightful - i really enjoy it whenever son lux brings the avengers theme into play in this ost - there's a track called "it's bucky!" that i assume plays during the limo chase scene when bucky comes to the (sort of) rescue but that track also plays during the end credits and it made me cry just because it's so great and has memories of me freaking out (/pos) during the end credits in theaters tied to it - the violins in void's soundtracks ("searching for bob", "you can't even save yourself") are deeply unsettling and i love that - "the attic" which plays when yelena finds bob in his worst memories made me cry. it's so unlike the tracks from that part of the movie, it's not action packed at all, it sounds like a lullaby for a broken boy - "not alone", the track that plays during the last confrontation with the void, when the entire team hugs bob, made me cry the most. it's absolutely heartbreaking, dramatic, you can hear the desperation of both bob, fighting for his life against the darkness, wishing to be saved but feeling doomed and helpless, and the desperation of his team, fighting tooth and nail to drag bob away from the edge, to get out of there alive, all of them, together. - "thunderbolts*", the last track of the album, is also very good! it combines the thunderbolts' theme with the theme of the original avengers again. it sounds dangerous, heroic, edgy and hopeful all at the same time. it has a quieter part closer to the end that really pulled at my heartstrings. in reality everyone on that team is broken and sad and they only have each other and i think that's beautiful. i think it plays during the first credits, when we see that montage with different newspaper articles and posters of the new avengers.
