The Ihlara Valley is an incredible gorge with a stunning river running right down the heart of the valley for 16km within the volcanic rock. It is near the province of Aksaray but still considered part of the southern Cappadocia region. It’s a great spot for a relatively easy walk amidst some peaceful, leafy nature as well as being a hub for cave churches, of which you will find many along the trail. City of Safranbolu The City of Safranbolu is a typical Ottoman city, with typical buildings and streets, and played a key role in the caravan trade over many centuries. The settlement developed as a trading centre after the Turkish conquest in the 11th century, and by the 13th century, it had become an important caravan station. Demirkazık Peak is a summit in Aladağlar a portion of Toros Mountains, Turkey. Administratively, it is a part of Çamardı district of Niğde Province and its altitude as 3,756 metres.  Being a conical mountain, it is a famous peak among the mountaineers. However, it may not be the highest point of the mountain range. Aladaglar National Park is situated within the borders of Niğde, Kayseri and Adana provinces in the Mediterranean region of Turkey. The name "ala-daglar" (crimson-mountains) comes from the rusty colour of its hills in the sunset. Aladaglar National Park hosts the tallest mountains of the Central Taurus Mountains of Turkey. The area covers four regions as Demirkazik, Yedigoller, Kaldi and Torasanlar, which have their highest peaks respectively as: Demirkazik (3756 m), Kizilkaya (3771 m), Kaldi (3688 m) and Vayvay (3565 m). Also known as The Alps of Turkey, Aladaglar mountain region is one of the most popular places for mountaineering, hiking and trekking in Turkey.
