Walden BACC #424
Mary was on her way to get her afternoon dose of coffee, hoping to avoid any encounters with her dorm-mates. She saw them, gathered together with Eleanor and Jacob, so she decided to go around the back instead.
As she went in, her eyes fell squarely on the nearest table where Vernoraxia sat together with a red-haired woman wearing a red dress, drinking coffee.
Mary didn’t think she was a professor, she knew most of them by sight. A mature student, then? She was obviously older, although her exact age was impossible to guess.
Either way, Mary was certain she’d never seen her before - she would’ve remembered if she had - there was something memorable about the woman. Intense.
And she seemed very friendly with Vernoraxia, leaning close and laughing together.
Mary didn’t stay to get her coffee; she turned around and marched out of the establishment before anyone noticed she was there.
