These pieces are large scale drawings on sewn paper. I hung these personal stories from my life on a clothesline in an installation for Murder the Word and called it “Laundry.” Some time in the 90’s.
Scuzy Chain, mary begley
Scuzy Chain is a play on words (or anachronism) of the supply chain services international (SCSI) for example at your computer station. I took that name and elaborated on it at a microscopic level like an atomic chain reaction in space. This is what I imagine it would be.

Space Poppy, mary begley
This painting is part of a series inspired by UFO's and Extraterrestrial themes. Space poppy is about the quiet of space and the beauty that lies within that. Oil paint on matte black gesso background makes for a nice contrasting image.
