#Repost @colvinology ・・・ Cocktail Umbrellas from Marz (@marzbrewing), a milkshake DIPA with pineapple and lactose, and the Master Grade Unicorn Gundam . Big whiffs of pineapple and cream, as well as a bit of grassy hops coming off of this beer. The bottle says its best at 54 degrees, and I noticed a good amount of sediment in the bottle, so I let it warm up and gave it a taste both before and after I swirled up the sediment. My initial, careful pour was pretty good, with a decent amount of sweet pineapple and cream flavors, but the bitterness, while welcome, seemed a bit unbalanced. Giving the bottle a swirl to free up a bit of sediment definitely changes things. The beer is much hazier (obviously), and the feel is smoother and more decadent. The pineapple and cream flavors blend a lot better and are more present, making the bitterness a hell of a lot more balanced. I know some people are squeamish about sediment in beer, so take that into account if you grab this one, I'm a fan though.
