i feel like person coming in greeting could be set apart more by opened arms, welcoming gesture, while leaving could use one outstretched arm (waving or gesturing outside) clearly in the direction of leaving
though an even more obvious marker would be drawing the leaving party walking in the corrosponding direction
it also matters which party you’re supposed to relate to: if you’re a part of the welcoming/waving goodbye team,
you’d draw the scene from indoors looking outdoors, to welcome, outdoors looking indoors to leave, or opposite if you’re supposed to relate with the entering/leaving party
Oh oh oh oh wait, that was huge, I didn’t think of that last part - I was only seeing both scenarios from the outside, to the back of the guest, and that was kind of limited. There’re so many angles I could consider instead.. thank you, this is getting my gears going
