Fasching in bavaria, germany - it's not allowed to walk the streets with wooden masks and costumes, but nobody can forbid sitting on your own balcony. The whole street had "Maschkera" on the balconies making music and doing the best they can to uphold a but of our tradition. It was sad, yet great.

It's a special day in Grainau, Germany today! "Unsinnige Donnerstag", where people dress in traditional masks and costumes to drive the winter away with noise and shenanigans.

This is how carnival looks like in Bavaria… no beautiful, half-naked women like in Rio de Janeiro… hahaha :-)
