( @masked-vee ) "Why are you sneaking out?" Grey asked, his voice concerned. "Won't you dad's get mad?" Mouse added in sign.

“They…they have been letting me do a lot more stuff recently…And, plus, it’s only one more year till I’m ten now! And it’s not like I’m going all the way down to the village…and…and…”

“Yeah, and I’m not going alone!” The Ogerpon added, pointing to Hugh. “If the village monster ever does show up, I’ll be fine! There’s no reason for my dads to be worried at all! Besides, we’re all going to have so much fun! I wonder what we should play…besides Hanafuda, of course…..”

As the group trekked further and further down the mountain and toward the village, Aya continued chatting along the way, bringing up anything but her dads and the rules she was breaking. Once it was about noon, the Ogerpon and her companions finally reached the destination she had mentioned to Momo.

The Applin pushed his way through the bushes, glancing around nervously.

Aya rushed over to her friend and grabbed him by the hands. “Yay!! You came!!”

“Oh-um, mmhm!” Momo nodded. “I…um…sorry I wasn’t able to play with you right away…I’m…surprised you still waited for me this long.”

“Of course, no biggie!” The Ogerpon’s eyes smiled. “You’re my friend! Good friends are patient with one another! And besides, it was nice to take a walk outside of my house! I never get to do that!l

“Anyways, you’re here now!” She pulled Momo further into the clearing. “C’mon, let’s play!”

“R-right! Yeah!” - - -

(@masked-vee) Tunip walks up to Romeo curiously. "Excuse me, sir? Have you by chance met a smallish Eevee with a talking hilt?" She asked. She was accompanied by a brown haired boy, sipping hot chocolate.

Romeo: Mouse was the eevee's name if I remembered it correctly. And the talking hilt was Elizabeth right? I met them twice a few months back. Wasn't sure about the other friend tho, never catch'd her name. She had zoura like appearances with blue highlights. And I'm assuming that you two are friends with the eevee and their talking hilt yes?

(@masked-vee) Mouse made paw symbols. "Mouse wants to know what life is like in your village." Grey translated.

While Momo was still wary of the two feral Pokemon, he tried his best not to appear that way- after all, it made Aya and other people sad, right?

“I live with my mom, dad, older brother and older sister,” Momo continued. “My parents work in the orchard and fields near the village, and teach me and my siblings as well. I play a lot of Hanafuda….I guess that part’s not so normal….and we all pray to the shrine at our house, three times a day, except for on the holy day, where we go to the main shrine and give our offerings and the main Preist pray over us and for The Generous One…,”

“…um…,” the Applin wracked his brain, trying to think of anything else. “I….I dunno if you guys can, but we’re not allowed to eat Pecha berries…um…oh…! Also, we sometimes house the Generous One’s servants if they’re tired or injured….they take all the food and are loud and scary…and we’re not allowed to go to other villages unless it’s for the festival, or if The Generous One says we can, or if we’re messengers or merchants…and we can’t wear any jewelry with these shimmery gemstones on it…”

Momo paused. “We…..have a lot of rules…a lot of them I….don’t really understand…..But…..whenever I ask my family, or most adults, and even some kids about it….”

“So…um….they’re…probably just normal everywhere, right?” The Applin let out a forced chuckle.

(@masked-vee) Grey Kid shifted in to their human illusion and sat next to Momo, and allowed Mouse to jump into his lap. "There's nothing wrong with being nerdy. I'm really good friends with this tiny nerd right here!" Grey smiles as he fluffs Mouse's hair, making the tiny Eevee hold on to his hand as a response. "You're a nerd too, Princess! You love astrology and fencing." Elizabeth laughed. "No denying that!" Grey smiles as he whispers something to the hilt that made her look regretful.

Momo blinked, gawking as he looked at Grey, then at Mouse, then at Grey again. “W-weren’t you like t-them a m-m-moment ago….W-wait!” His eyes seemed to somehow grow even wider. “Y-you’re from the festival! I…I….augh….” The Applin gripped his temples as he tried to process. “O-oh…” he mumbled, sitting up. “Um….you were trying to cheer me up, right…? I…I’m sorry, I…I got caught up on….whatever it is you did….that was….that was rude of me. But, um, thank you….that was really, really nice…”

"Fans huh? Must say not what you see often being used as a way for defense. Altought... It sure gives you points in style unlike some other people I can think about haha!"

"They're definitely a very handy weapon. Blends rightttt into a crowd; no one suspects it! Plus, it's an extremely elegant tool....it's very light, and feels very satisfying to weild..."

"And....a sparring match, you say?" Miu asked. "Well, consider my interest piqued! As much as I love my husbands, I've been having matches soley with them for years....I'm very ready to test my skills on someone new!"

Miu beckons to the two. "Come, come! This way to the training grounds!"

The Fezendipiti takes the hilt and ward to a dirt clearing, marked off from the forest by a fence. Miu walks to one end of the arena and shifts into position, taking out his fans.

"Alright, then," he told the pair. "I'll let you two go first, since I'm a proper gentleman- Oh! And, before we begin, would you like me to go easy on you? There's no shame if that's the case- I can be a little.....ruthless if I'm using my full power."

(@masked-vee) Mouse writes something down on their whiteboard. When they were done, they showed what they've written.

"Mr. Kenji, how did you meet both your husbands?" Was what was written on the whiteboard.

"We met a few months before we found Aya! Or, Tomo met me and Miu, at least. I grew up close to Miu's, so we saw each other around a lot. We were always friendly towards each other, but we didn't know each other super well, you know? We started to hang out more after we went on a little trip, along with Tomo."

"It wasn't until after we found Aya that we all started to develop feelings for each other...." Kenji smiles softly. "You could say it's thanks to her that we're all together."

(@masked-vee) Mouse scribbled down what they wanted to tell the young Ogerpon.

"Can we see your mask?" The tiny Eevee wrote.

"Oh yeah, of course!! Stay rightttt there!!" Aya tells Mouse, running off.

About a minute or two later, the Ogerpon returns, clutching something wooden in her hands.

Aya lifts up her mask, showing it off to Mouse. "Isn't it so so cute??? My Papa made it for me!!! He said it's supposed to look like a feral Pokemon called 'Phantump'!"

Mouse was not watching where they were going as the tiny Eevee bumps into Kenji's leg. "Oof!" They fell backwards, falling in their bottom.

"Mouse!" Cereza exclaimed, as she ran to help her friend. "Are you and Elizabeth okay?"

Mouse nodded yes, signing "I'm sorry" to Kenji as they got up.

Kenji's brows furrowed in confusion as Mouse sighed to him. "Um, I'm sorry, I don't know what that means," the Okidogi replied. "....Wait, you look familiar....Oh! Oh, you're that little guy I had a nice conversation with a few months back!" Kenji smiled. "Didn't expect to see you here today! How ya doing?"
