[ Don't give him any ideas! He is quite content with his daughters and doesn't need a man eating son. ]

Mackenzie got the large, tiger shark piece on his back because his father and his late commander during his military days likened him to a tiger shark: big, sneaky, and can eat just about anything.
"Dating her. You're dating Ms. Mercy." Grinning from ear to ear, Annie fixed him with a delighted, yet curious look, eager to learn more about his infatuation with the pretty woman. "You have this look of utter contentment on your face. It's because of her isn't it?"
"Ah. I suppose that is becoming common knowledge, mm?" He chuckled then gave the young woman a gentle smile. "Indeed, it is."
"So you're kind of going gung-ho for Ms. Mercy."
"Gung-ho for Dr. Falkner? I am not exactly positive as to what you mean."

Merry Christmas, small lady! :)
This put a grin on my face because Chibiusa (aka Small Lady) from Sailor Moon was my favorite character ♥
Merry Christmas to you as well! Good to hear from you :)
"I am sorry," she whispered, squeezing her slim waist tightly. Sorry for what? For acting like an unreasonable, spiteful little brat? For allowing jealousy to consume her? "I'm sorry for everything, Mutter. Please forgive your worthless daughter."
Eliza's head rose, thoughtfully. The medic pulled back, dipping her face low enough to look into the girl's face--no dice, Annie was too buried into her."First of all--look at me, mausi--" a finger curled under Anemone's chin in an attempt to tilt her head upwards. "--no daughter of mine is 'worthless'." Eliza hadn't forgotten their last exchange; explosive, accusatory. Full of naivety. "Tell me, because I would certainly like to know--" Best to keep her tone light, soft; she wanted to set Annie at ease, lest she close up again. "--where this conviction is coming from."
Taking a deep breath, Annie planted herself in front of Eliza and blurted out a quick "Sorry!" Before launching herself in the woman's arms.
With the return of one loved one, so too came another. Eliza hadn’t seen Anemone for…quite a while, and for presumably good reason. Their last encounter hadn’t been a pleasant one, though the medic wasn’t entirely certain why…or had she forgotten?
Still, the ‘sorry’ had come from behind—Eliza was preoccupied with something at her office desk—and the hug was startling, to say the least. When the medic realised who it was, arms wrapped around Annie’s shoulders instinctively and her head dipped down to press lips on the crown of the girl’s head.
"Annie," she whispered. "It’s good to see you again."
