Surprisingly, the Spy kept her word, bringing the splice a big plate of scrambled eggs and ham. She didn't cook it, which was for e best, but she managed to smuggle it down into the sewers, covered with a cloth to keep it safe. Setting it out, she retreated hastily to hide in case the splice had plans other than returning her watch without a fuss. She'd watch from a distance and approach when she knew it was safe.

Seeing actual, cooked food wasn't exactly what one would see in the sewers every day, so the fact that it was there had taken the splice by surprise. He swam closer to the concrete edge as soon as the smell hit him, eyebrow perking up as he glanced around to see who had left said food, before he decided to shrug it off and dig in either way. He was starving, after all.

  "Is it just me," he began, tugging the collar of his coat coat closer around his neck, "or did the weather get very cold, very quickly?"    Though he didn't quite know the Spy, Davi nonetheless felt the need to initiate some sort of conversation, and so --perhaps as a homage to the ultimate awkward conversation starter-- he asked about the weather.
