How many of you were fans of Lucha Libre USA? I ask because the show debuted in Palm Springs, California, at the Agua Caliente Casino. The venue still hosts Lucha Libre presented by Masked Republic. The show efforted to blend Lucha Libre with the American style of wrestling. Which meant talents direct from Mexico, or recently released from either the WWE or Impact Wrestling. Then they would sprinkle in International Wrestlers and some homegrown talent. Rocky Romero, TJ Perkins, Amazing Kong, representing the Inland Empire. Even our close friend Lalo was part of the original announce team. Their last arena event in California took place at the Toyota Center in Ontario, Spring 2013. Yet, their final event was in Pomona, as part of the Rob Zombie "Great American Nightmare" in October of 2013. Solar defeated RJ Brewer for the Lucha Libre USA Championship. The championship would change hands minutes later with RJ Brewer becoming the last LLUSA Champion.
