Sweet Reunion | Rick and Shane
How could things of gone so wrong? At first Rick finally had hope, that the prison could provide a safe haven for them. If only before he'd know how wrong they'd be. Rick couldn't protect all of them, it was a matter of time. Their assault on Woodbury had been pretty successful, though it didn't necessarily turn out the way Rick had intended it to be. They got Maggie and Glenn back, but lost two. He knew Daryl was alive, if anything they were holding him captive from what he was told by Glenn. They had grown stronger together as a group, went from being strangers, to being a family. Hell they had to be.
Rick had no choice but to go back for Daryl, he'd never leave anyone behind, plus he needed Daryl as his backup, he trusted him with his life. He chose Michonne to go along with him since she knew the route and knew the town, he couldn't do this by himself. They were lucky to make it out of there, in case he ran into the man Michonne called the governor. He crouched low as he heard a twig snap in the bushes ahead of him. If they were surrounded by walkers again, they were gonna have a hell of a fight. He rose his machete, in case if it was just one or two; no need to waste a bullet and draw attention, and signaled her to be ready.
