REPLIES TODAY I PROMISE
/everyone tagged.. send me messages so we can plot? i'd rather stick to tv-verse to prevent spoilers for people who haven't read the comic. if you can come up with a reason for them to meet, i will gladly work something out with you./
It was quiet tonight. Something Gretchen was thankful for.
She looked up into the rear view mirror of their compact car, watched for a moment the sleeping bundle huddled under a salvaged blanket. Her shoulders dropped slightly. They couldn't do this any more. They couldn't hide out in the car every night. They'd been blessed with clear roads so far but what was going to happen when they ran into a wreck? Or a pileup? Or even just.. a road chock full of abandoned cars.
They'd been lucky so far. And she couldn't fight the feeling that their luck was going to run out. She turned on her side in the driver's seat, the lights turned off and the windows rolled up, with just a small crack open in the moonroof for air. She faced the interior and pulled her jacket over her head, shutting her eyes and wishing for sleep.
For a while, she did sleep. Until a faint scratching noise reached her ears. She jolted awake. It wasn't a.. scratching. It wasn't a scraping that the undead made. It was a winding, something strange, foreign to her now. The sound of her gas cap being unwound. Scavengers. Bile rose in Gretchen's throat, and she grabbed the double-barreled shotgun from the passenger seat. If someone was risking stopping to siphon gas, there weren't any walkers around. So she shoved open the door and stepped out.
"You better hope you got a good reason for this." She glowered to the stranger, kicking the door shut with her boot. Dirty brown hair clung to her face, hazel eyes hard in the dying darkness. The sun was starting to come up. Out of the corner of her eye, the bundle shifted, and a mess of brown curls poked out. Shit. Go back to sleep.. go back to sleep. "Hands where I can see them, please."

He’d been trudging down the highway for what seemed like a day or more, in honesty he just needed to get into town, he needed to find somewhere to get water, and clothes. New clothes were a necessity, so far the one thing that seemed to have held together was his combat boots, but even then he knew those wouldn’t last much longer even. Finally seeing an exit he sighed and picked up his pace, moving quickly, he wasn’t in the mood to deal with any of those dead things today. Hearing a rustle he turned toward the noise “’Ello?” he called just above a whisper.
