Masquerouge ("Red Mask") was a Cape & Sword (a genre with musketeers and swordsmen from the 17th -18th century) BD about a 17th century noblewoman, Ariane de Troïl, who takes on a masked person to takes from the rich and gives the money she stoles to the poor.
She is assisted by her falcon.
The series. was first published in Pif Gadget in an episodic fashion but then the serials were re-published as hardcover albums.
