It had been nearly seven years since she found about InGen’s experiments. Seven years since she had tried to destroy the files on mixing human and dinosaur DNA. And seven years since she was taken by InGen as punishment. Things could have been worse though, right? She could be dead…. Though the pain she had went through during the procedure was enough to make someone want to be dead. She shook her head at the thought. She had been their first successful experiment. The first hybrid. Able to switch between forms of a raptor and of a human, though they made sure that she looked different enough in her human form so that she couldn’t slip away into society. She had been too smart for her own good. Both raptor and human intelligence, not to mention the stubbornness that she held in both forms. It hadn’t been good for her handlers. She had outsmarted them. Escaped. And was now living in the jungle of Isla Nublar.
She shook her head, clearing it. No need to think about that now. This was her new life. Surviving on this island, alone. Raptors were pack animals…. and here she was without a pack. It made hunting a bit more difficult, but it also made the reward that much sweeter, not having to share.
She was on the trail of an escaped pig, weaving in and out of the trees as she rushed after it. Though when she heard a sound that she hadn’t heard for a long while, she skidded to a hult, tilting her head.
That was the sound of an engine….
Another sound came to her, other raptors, humans…. talking. Great. Didn’t humans know to stay away from the island? This was /their/ land now. But she was human…. Once.
She shook her head to clear it, barking once before taking off towards the sound. She changed form as she ran, though still kept the speed of her other form. Quietly she crouched down, hiding in the bushes (glad that the full body suit that InGen created for hybrid test runs could blend in decently with the foliage around her.) as she watched the humans move about.
