Commander Shepard doesn't have one true version of themselves. Male-soldier-earthborn-war hero isn't a canonical one.
Who the hell is Amazon's Shepard?
Every player has their own Shepard. Paragon and renegade. Male and female. Soldier and engineer and biotic and sentinel. Backstory, lineage, personality, 'modus operandi', motivation, romances.
Not to mention the Normandy SR-1 team.
Gods preserve you if you're going to show Liara or Tali or Garrus or Joker and they won't speak their voices.
It's not Last of Us and won't work that way. Different kinds of storytelling. Last of Us is about an idea that moves the plot forward, characters are important but not as much as the thoughts creators wanted to share through the Joel x Ellie story. Mass Effect is all about your choice, your story, your binding with the team. Normandy team is so important because the idea itself isn't focusing only on the Reapers and fighting the war.
This will be an actual suicide mission for amazon. But who I'm gonna to kidding.. they will fail badly, aren't they?
