He had been eying him from afar for weeks. While the captain was doing paper work, Eren would be lingering near, taking in the gentle, concentrated look on his face. He liked to watch him in secrecy, mainly because it was thrilling. If Levi would have known that one of his subordinates had been watching him, surely there would have been some form of punishment. Today was like any other day. They had breakfast together in mostly silence— Eren trying to start a conversation but ultimately failing in the end. He only wish that he could capture the captain’s interest for more than two minutes at a time. Just like any other morning, when Levi had filed off to lock himself into his office, the shifter had followed him. It wasn’t until that Levi was up the staircase that he had decided to sneak after him, however. Upon entering the hall where Levi’s office was held, the brunet wasn’t surprised to find his door open with a faint crack. He always left it that way. It was through this microscopic space between door and threshold that he was able to watch the man of authority do his work. But what made today different was that Eren was feeling courageous. Rather than waiting outside, sneaking away as soon as Levi showed any indication that he would be getting up, Eren allowed himself in. He pushed the door open as if it were any other door in the home made of wooden logs. Today, the fact that Levi absolutely hated to be interrupted, especially by brats like himself, had slipped his mind. The only thing that he could focus on was that beautiful set of lips, once full but now narrowed into a line of irritation. Even so, they still were all too tempting. He didn’t know what had gotten into himself. Before he knew it, he was marching across the room, approaching Levi’s desk and slamming his hands down upon it. The way Levi’s eyes narrowed in absolute disgust and hatred normally would have scared the shifter away, but today his heart was stronger than his mind. His body acted on it’s own. His mind was no longer connected to his being. Eren leaned forward at a rapid pace, as if he moved too slowly he would be knocked down. That much was most likely true. In a flash, his lips were upon the other set before him. Now that lips were touching his, Eren wasn’t sure what to do. Levi’s lips were smoother than he thought. He must have took good care of them, just like he had the rest of his body.Eren was still. He was young— he didn’t know how to kiss. He tried to move his lips in a slow, rhythmic fashion, but Levi’s lack of movement quickly discouraged him. With a furrowed brow, he slowly pulled away and bit his own lower lip. Looking into Levi’s harsh grey hues, sharp like daggers ready to pierce, Eren quickly realized that he had made the wrong decision. Not only that, but he would probably never be granted the luxury of watching Levi work outside of his office.
