All Armin can do is make a soft noise reflecting the dull pain that follows the pinch to his cheek. He reaches up and rubs at the tender skin, but there’s no fire behind the glare he sends Mike’s way as he’s sniffed. He doesn’t miss the smirk that spreads over the other’s lips, but he doesn’t know if he wants to know why it’s there. "I might as well bother you for a little while longer," Armin says, feigning nonchalance as he squeezes past Mike and slips out of his shoes.

Armin is being sassy; but then again, that's usually the case. He pushes his way past and Mike follows suit, closing the door behind them. Before the visit, he'd been going through papers, smoking, juggling that with conversations with colleagues.

A break is long overdue.

"Are you just in the neighborhood."

Its a question that doesn't even warrant an answer, but he's testing the waters a little further with it.

The frown tugging at Armin’s lips fades slowly after Mike apologizes. He knows that it’s a busy time for everyone right now, with such a huge exam looming practically in their faces. Armin had been busy as well with preparing, but still. Arms crossed over his chest, he sighs softly as he stares up at Mike for a moment before shaking his head slightly. “It’s okay.. You could have at least texted me though.” He reaches over to poke the taller man in the stomach before asking, “Have you been sleeping okay? Eating and all that?”

Could have, should have. Didn't. Mike runs a hand through his hair, throwing a glance over his shoulder. He grins a little at the poke to his midsection, reaching down to pinch at Armin's cheek.

"Sleep could be better, eating is fine."

He bends a little, sniffs at the younger male, and can't hide his growing smirk.

"Come inside. Unless you're just stopping by."
