Oooh the WIP ask, post war party, morning after, and kneel if I can pick more than one 👀
Heeeyyy! Thank you for asking ❤️❤️❤️ Sorry it takes me so long to answer these. I get self-conscience and then see how much things need editing but then I have to remind myself that is the whole point of a wip ;)
Long post below!
Post War Party - This is some Shenko silliness that takes place between ME1 & 2, so it's not really a post war party really it more of a....post reapers first attack on the citadel party to honor Shepard for saving them kind of deal. So of course Shepard is forced to go to and does not want to be there but thankfully she spots a familiar face :)
Her eyes subtly scanned the crowd, looking for her escape route, but instead she spotted a familiar face. She had to bite her lip to keep from smiling as she watched Kaidan Alenko struggling with the same situation she was in. She knew he hated crowds, and too much light and noise usually triggered his migraines. But she watched him as he sipped his whiskey and tried to act engaged in the conversation. He must have felt her eyes on him because he looked her way, he attempted to hide his grin behind his glass as he held it to his lips, still holding her gaze and offering a very subtle wink.
“Commander?” Raine was shaken from her gaze. She looked to the man who had apparently asked her a question. She smiled sheepishly, “I'm sorry, I uh, didn't catch that.”
“I asked if you would care to dance?” The man asked her again. She couldn't remember the man's name, she believed him to be a reporter or was he a C-Sec officer?
“Oh, I'm sorry but I don't dance.” Raine said politely. Just as the man was about to insist, she noticed Kaidan approach them.
“Excuse me, Commander,” He said, looking only at her. “The Admiral would like a word with you.”
“Oh,” she feigned surprise. “Of course Lieutenant.” She turned to the man who had asked her to dance. “I'm so sorry, will you excuse me.” She didn't wait for his answer, but nodded to Kaidan and allowed him to lead her away.
She leaned in close to him as they walked away. “Is there even an admiral here?”
“I don't think so but he doesn't know that.” Kaidan whispered back. They both tried to stifle their laughter.
They maneuver through the crowd, Kaidan in the lead. She wasn't sure where he was leading her but she was all too happy to follow. They arrived along a wall of the room made completely out of glass, giving the room a breathtaking view of the citadel. They moved along the edge of the room for a moment until they reached a door. Kaidan opened it then turned to her.
“How about some fresh air.” He gave her a coy smile.
She sighed in relief and matched his grin. “You read my mind.”
Morning After is a little snippet I wrote for Aymeric and Shyera, my character from FFXIV. I have a few little snippets here and there for them but again always a wip as I haven't done anything with them for a while 😭
He turned his attention from the frosted window and towards the bed he had just vacated. He couldn’t help but smile at the sight of her, the warrior of light, asleep in his bed.
She laid on her stomach with her arms outstretched toward the empty side of the bed. The fluffy comforter sat just below her waist giving Aymeric the beautiful sight of her bare back and silver hair that spilled across it.
He flushed at the thought of exploring every inch of her the night before.
She had been away for what felt like an eternity. Not exactly missing, they knew where she was, of sorts, and that she was relatively safe, but beyond that no one could tell him much else. She had been taken away to a completely different plane of existence. Stolen away from their world to another. Not knowing when or even if she would return.
Aymeric was sickened by the thought that he might never see her again, never hold her in his arms again or get the chance to tell her just how much he loved her. Those months she was away were some of the hardest he had to bear. He buried himself even deeper into his work to distract himself. Night brought him no rest as he would lie awake agonizing over if something might have happened to her. So he rarely slept, only work could keep his mind occupied enough to no think of how much he missed her.
Soft sunlight slowly crept through the window. The morning glow began to illuminate the room. Aymeric watched her sleep. Her back rose and fell with her deep breath and hair, a bit disheveled from their activities the night before, covered her face. Naturally Aymeric couldn’t help himself as he took a soft stride back to the bed and he gently swept the strands off of her face, trailing his fingers across her warm cheek. He thought about pulling the blankets up to cover her and keep her warm, but he hesitated to do so as he gazed at her exposed skin, remembering tracing every scar on her back and body. Committing each one of them to memory.
He leaned down and softly touched his lips to her forehead, being very careful not to wake her. He heard her sigh deeply as he pulled himself away.
He thanked The Twelve that he had her back. She was safe. She was home.
Okay so I am cheating cause I had one called kneel and one called kneeling lol
Of course it's Nia and Illario cause I'm still obsessed. Ironically I am having trouble getting the proportions of Illario's lower body actually kneeling...sooo it's in perma-wip for now.
