i still think shepard is not the Sexiest Sexy of the humans, because what do aliens know about human sexiness?

i think bw’s problem was a cross between scope and context. 

while a game like mass effect might have introduced good context, they never made good use of it beyond the initial character. same with dragon age. there’s so much Stuff that could have made good episodic games if they wanted, or an entirely unique brand of rpg... and they just really clung to old-fashioned epic storytelling, an overwhelming scope. novels. even when they had a potentially really valuable series of short stories that could have made a more succinct and lasting impact. 

me2 and da2 are prime examples of Scope Gone Wrong, though I love them both more than their predecessors.

an origins-styled sw galaxies-type mmo would have been SO effective for mass effect. 

play an intro as a quarian on the fleet! or a salarian! or any species on a common planet depending on background! 

I wish things had been different for the way me3 ended and how it fed into mea (though I love mea don’t get me wrong)

I keep forgetting i left off at overlord and its loading is so buggy 

I like me2 but also playing me2 can be tiring 

I haven’t had a fresh classic-bw-style rpg in so long... I am hoping that sometime soon some little company arrives on the scene with some sweet, awesome, hopeful* storytelling and character creation 

*obsidian is automatically out of the running
