Massive Throwback : MGMT
Several years before Foster The People even formed and peak the billboard with their “Pumped Up Kicks”, the duo MGMT first introduce us to the combination of psychedelic rock and electronic pop in 2002. The syncopated bass lines, cloud light vocals, and funky synth beats play their parts on each songs. By producing unique kind of music, MGMT conquered the world in 2007-2008 by featured in well-known music channels, such as BBC, Rolling Stones, Last.fm, Spin, and even nominated as best duo performances in 52nd Grammy Awards.
In May 2017, through their fan mail newsletter, MGMT announces good news for the fans as they plan to release new album this year titled as “Little Dark Age”. They also release new video teaser and also perform some of their new songs in Beale Street Music Festival Memphis 2017. While waiting for the new stuff, let’s throwback to one of their hits. Sounds a bit familiar, huh?
