My first pic of 2021 is a tribute to someone who was invaluable to me over the last year. My main man since 2003. Punchy from Animal Crossing.

I hear you, "Before Tom Nook? Before KK Slider? Before whatever villager is popular with the Etsy crowd right now?" but nah, man, Punchy is where it's at. This dumbass cat has been my favorite Animal Crossing character since the GameCube and has brought me so much joy during my darkest parts of 2020.

You can keep your Raymonds and Marshals, I got Punchy.

Man, I hope a future update lets us actually see this guy in person. I miss this bastard.

I decided I'm not quite finished celebrating Azumanga's 20th anniversary yet. The whole crew deserves some love in MassMix form, with the prior three getting updates to make them look better. While nothing official happened for it, I'm thankful for the raised awareness and new fandom friends I've made while doing this sorta year long celebration. Here's hoping we see these girls again for real someday.
