ABOUT THE COMIC
🐠 This is a completed Legend of Zelda fan comic that takes places after the events of the game Tears of the Kingdom, specifically after my main comic Shadow Out of Time (on hiatus). A Labour of Love focused on the good people of Zora's Domain and their struggles to coexist with other less-friendly Domains.
The comic started as a romantic comedy and has since evolved into a sort of interactive political drama with romantic elements. It started at the beginning of May 2024 and finished near the end of November 2024!
🐟 Collaboration and interactivity were important features of the comic: fan OCs were regularly included, and major plot decisions have been influenced by readers.
🦀 During the Rescue chapter, I received rude messages which I addressed here. Here's a post on online etiquette I find very helpful, and another that I think is even better!
🦀🦀 I was later accused of intellectual property theft, which I take very seriously. Here's a more comprehensive post with a log, timelines evidence, etc. My friend and I were bullied online because of this, and as a result I decided to retire my blog and leave the website after I had completed the comic.
🦀🦀🦀 Highlighting issues and drama is uncomfortable! But I believe being 100% transparent is the ethical thing to do. The point of the comic was for people to come together to work on something wonderful! So, exposing the ugly parts rather than hiding them is awkward, but necessary.
