Idk man, I love Nomi as a character once she grows a spine, but multiple issues of her being sad about her husband and her own choice to be a housewife instead of a Jedi is just...kind of boring? Largely because there's no real reason to her choice that's ever addressed. She has one throwaway line about being "too timid" to be a Jedi and then she spends 40 pages lamenting being lonely and having lost her Jedi husband. While doing awesome Force shit and just...glossing over it??

I get what is intended with her character, and the whole angle of her being called to serve the Force by the greater good when she's Just a Timid Housewife, but it feels so thin and dull. Which is a shame, because Nomi is a fantastic character when she's allowed to be.

oh, still star wars posting BTW. I think Master Thon is my favorite Jedi ever. He's just so unique! every other Jedi Master is on a spectrum of like. kind and gentle to tough but fair. But Master Thon is straight up mean sometimes. He's so intense. He laughs at the idea of Bogga the Hutt torturing his minions for failing. He bullies Nomi into fighting, even though she wanted to be a pacifist, because he recognizes the importance of fighting against cruelty. He deliberately puts her and Vima in danger. Like Oss Willum was absolutely right when he said Master Thon likes to push people to their limits. He talks about how having enemies can be a good thing, because it pushes you to go further. He specifically lives on a world that's strong in the dark side because he constantly tests himself, living on the razor's edge between light and dark.

Absolutely love that Thon, one of the wisest and most powerful Jedi, is totally down to let other Jedi just ride around on his back, even when they could absolutely just walk next to him.

Putting aside the fact that you will not use a lightsaber for halfhearted and not-well-explained reasons, this is something you have done multiple times on page. You KNOW you are Force-sensitive. the jedi master robes in kotor 2 are a lot more accurate if you swap arca's, thon's, and nomi's around.
