It would be so fucking inspired and much more on point for the mandalorians if both Pre Vizsla and Fenn Rau's accounts of how the darksaber came to be were bullshit, just complete whitewashing and historical revisionism, with the actual way it went down being that during the raid on the temple mandalorians murdered Tarre Vizsla and took the darksaber, using it and the cred as the "Jedi mandalorian slayer" to build a cult of personality and take over mandalore

Have my little and confused analysis/list of what I am trying to tell through these portraits regarding these little Jedi:

Jocasta and Sifo Dyas share some elements, her earrings and his braids parallel the other, and they wear their hair in bun/s, and the palette too.

Her lighter colors reflect her stronger connection and trust in the Jedi.

Sifo's colors are still those of the Jedi, but under the lighter brown robe there is a far darker one.

Dooku's colors are dark and share no connection to those of his friends.

Jocasta has a full smile and her hands are both shown, she will not harbor secrets or ill intentions in the future.

Sifo shows only one of his hands, he will keep a terrible secret, but not out of hate.

Dooku's hands are fully hidden, and his smile is more closed off, and in the future we know what he will become.

Death of an Apprentice 

The death of a padawan is considered a tragedy. A bereft master will return to the temple as soon as possible after completing their duties. If on an extended mission, the Jedi auxiliary medical corps may be sent to retrieve the body. Upon return to the temple, the funeral is held. For the master, this is a time of deep reflection and self-searching. No blame is innately laid on them - the Force moves as it wills - but it remains their responsibility to understand why things happened as they did, and what part they played in them.

After the death of an apprentice, a ten-month period is cursory before the master may consider taking on another padawan, to allow for the wound left by a severed training bond to heal. Some masters choose to don a white cloak during this time, signifying that they are in mourning.

Another common observance is that of a posthumous knighting, usually done before the funeral; The apprentice's braid is cut, and altered vows of Knighthood spoken. Though departed, the apprentice is symbolically elevated to the status of knight, honoring their sacrifice and their service.

By the right of the Council, by the Will of the Force, I bid you farewell, [name], Jedi Knight.

Duchess Satine forbade the people of Mandalore from speaking Mando’a, their native language, and forced them to speak only Galactic Basic, the language of the Republic. Here’s all of the evidence to prove it!

First off, we have … Oh, wait. Satine’s the only named character in The Clone Wars who speaks Mando’a, and she even uses the warrior dialect of the Concordians.

And hmm … there’s Mando’a on the police speeders.

(Also note that the police carry and use blasters and flame throwers, so she hasn’t outlawed weapons either. Mandalorians are also not forbidden from carrying weapons within the city, which is why the Death Watch terrorist pictured above was carrying a blaster. The only people forbidden from carrying weapons are outsiders ... and that was only a rule solidified in The Clone Wars Season 3.)

But surely the children are only taught Basic …

Nope! The children of Mandalore are taught both Basic and Mando’a, but you can see that Mando’a is what Korkie is using on his tablet.

It’s clear the children are bilingual. They use Mando’a for their studies, but Ahsoka’s presentation is in Basic. It's likely that they are using Basic to converse with her but speak Mando'a amongst themselves.

In fact, the only place in Sundari where we see Basic is on the dome’s exits (this says “Hangar 1”), with the implication that they are accommodating travelers.

Huh. It’s almost like violence isn’t the only tradition that makes up Mandalorian culture, and Satine loves her Mandalorian heritage even as she believes (as the majority of Mandalorians did who confirmed her right to rule) that the time of peace had come.

I'll continue to say it over and over again, but I will never not be salty over the fact that Satine gets killed by Maul and not, idk, a mandalorian like Pre or another traditionalist, and I hate it so much, her death is not about her people, it is not about her ideals, or even about enemies, it's not allowed to even be about her.

It ends up being about Maul's anger and Obi-wan's grief, she becomes a device for the angry man to inflict pain on the sad man, AND I HATE IT 😭
