Mun Meme Thing
Tagged by sarcasmandleatherjackets and sadly, I can never ever answer these properly nor create interesting questions but alas, here I go:
Questions
1. Your middle name and if you like it or not, reason why!
Rylee. And I like it, it's an interesting spelling for the name. Plus it has a beautiful meaning, "courageous" or "valiant". They say your names describe your traits which is fantastic, I can fool people into thinking I'm a wonderful soul, oh-ho.
2. Favorite Comedian?
Oh mercy, I have a few:
Dara Ó Briain is an Irish comedian who's an amazing at mathematics and the sciences, he even hosts a show where he goes head-to-head with other comedians to solve problems using maths while his opponents use brawn. He also does a lot of social commentary and basically rags on bigots and any who so dare worship prejudice which is why he's the host of Mock the Week. He even explained he refuses to make any jokes about Islam when he does jokes on Christianity and his reasoning is not politically correct but just...logical.
Russell Howard is a British comedian and hosts a show for the BBC called Russell Howard's Good News which is basically The Daily Show for the UK, but instead of ending on another note of stupidity he always ends the episode with a story about some do-gooder in the world. He has both ADHD (so I can relate to a lot of his jokes and behaviors) and a lazy eye, so you find he has a very down to earth nature which is pleasant in a celeb no matter how small or big they are. He's also a champ, he broke his hand during one of the shows and stuck till the end refusing to let it end early. He even recreated a fight while injured.
Danny Bhoy is a Scottish comedian who does a lot of gigs in Australia. Unlike the first two, he doesn't do a lot of political humor but he does do religious satire and social commentary. One of his favorite things to do is make fun of stereotypes and compare cultures, even tease them. But his comedy is never mean-spirited.
Dylan Moran is an Irish comedian who is either very chill or drunk when he performs. He does a lot of social commentary and politics-talk. His humor is very brash and he never pulls any punches. He was the star of the British sitcom from the early 2000s called Black Books where he plays Bernard Black, an Irish bookseller who owns a rundown used bookstore enveloped in chaos.
The 1491s are a Native group of comedians who not only make you laugh but also have a strong sense of social justice in their comedy. They aren't overwhelming in their message but rather, through laughs they show you about the issues that are faced by many and what you can do to help (such as respecting cultural rights). They're just a hilarious bunch and it's kind of hard to describe them without breaking down into shrill fits of fangirling. And mostly I love them for the brilliant gems like this.
3. Animation or Real Action?
Both. You will never ever be able to get me to say one or the other and here's the reason: some stories just fit with that form of media. Being animation or live action does not define the story but one artform may enhance the tale more than the other. I can't imagine The Hobbit being displayed as a cartoon and retaining the full force of it's detail. Just like I can't many Disney films being remade and still keeping the magic.
4. Do you like coffee, tea, or other?
5. Name three things that relaxes you.
I--....I don't know. I don't think I'm ever relaxed really. Sleeping? I guess. Maybe. I don't know. Well, maybe sleeping and boring lectures at school since those send me right off to the world beyond.
But honestly, I have no clue. I'm never relaxed lol.
6. Name your top ten favorite movies!
All the Tolkien movies by Peter Jackson. Counting those as one. Ssssh.
But aside from that: Outlander, Skins, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee, Tangled, Rock and Rule, The Black Cauldron, Heathers, Star Wars the Original Trilogy, Brave, The Secret of Kells.
7. If you could meet any three fictional character, who would it be and why?
Kee, so I can hug him and just cry. The Outsider, so I can just hug him and cry. And Connor Kenway, so I can just hug him and cry.
8. Favorite books?
no.
I have too many. Waaaay too many. So I'll just give a few:
Legend of Drizzt, The Last Apprentice, The Hunger Games, The Ranger's Apprentice, Avalon: Web of Magic, Angela's Ashes, Night Angel Trilogy, Leviathan.
9. Favorite season?
Nay. No such thing for me. But if I had to give an answer, then winter since that's when Christmas comes around and that's my favorite holiday.
10. What are you most likely to do on a rainy, cloudy day?
Sit outside in the grotto by the pool to read or write.
11. Guilty pleasures?
I watch westerns.
Lots and lots of westerns.
And most of the time they piss me off but a lot of the actors I like pop up in them from time to time so...I'm constantly on the look out.
But mostly they just piss me off.
My Questions:
What foreign country would you want to live in and what's something in its history that interests you?
If you could bring any folkloric hero who would it be and what do you think they would do in the modern world?
Which of these do you feel represents you most: your name meaning, birth-sign, or zodiac? Why?
If you were invited to join a ghost hunting team for a night-time exploration into a city that has been lost to mankind for nearly six thousand years, would you go? Even if they asked you to stay by yourself in a room filled with massacred skeletons in complete darkness?
If you could have any animal, real or not, as a pet what would it be? What do you think your house would look like after a week of owning it?
What's a current fashion fad you wish never existed? What about it bugs you the most?
If you could turn anything under-appreciated you like into a commercial success, what would it be?
Let's say you have a dog that you love more than anything and they pass away unexpectedly. After you've mourned, you get another dog who you adore to the ends of the earth. One day, you're given a choice: you can bring back your old dog but you'd have to give up your new one. What would you do?
What's a cause you feel strongly about? Something you'd be willing to dedicate your life to or even sacrifice it for.
If you were forced to eat the same thing for dinner every night for the rest of your life, what would you want it to be?
If you could add a subject into the required curriculum for high school, what would it be? Why do you think this field of study would be beneficial?
Basically I just decided to fuck with you guys.
Have fun~
